Sheer please!

This festive season’s hottest trend – sheer blouses. The perception now is that sexiness is in the suggestion. Add to that a ravishing Kareena Kapoor carrying her gorgeous red blouse as part of her ensemble designed by Manish Malhotra for ‘Chammak Challo’ (Ra.One), and you’re convinced you have to put a sheer blouse on your wish list!
It’s full of oomph. The sheerness adds to the sensuality and the borders give that desi touch. Loving it! She wore a saree with a similar blouse for Ra.One’s Music launch, also a Manish creation.

I absolutely adore the contrast petticoat, but I wish the blouse was the same colour too, instead of the white.

Bollywood Boots

I recently discovered these most amazing 'Bollywood Boots' and I am in love love love love with them.
They're just so amazing! And so funky!

These are creations by Diana Linda, an expatriate living in India. She worked with an international NGO before she decided to follow her passion for designing. She crafts a variety of products ranging from bags, fashion accessories, pouches, jewellery, belts, decorated ornamental jackets, and home décor items.

Inspired mainly by India and its vibrant colours, her work spells Mumbai-Bombay- Bollywood with its pop culture, kitsch and drama. Every piece is handmade or hand decorated with specially selected materials, images and adornments and can be further customised according to client preferences.

Heres some of her bags and clutches that I absolutely loved.

Buttoned up or not, its hot!

This festive season you’ll be missing out if you haven’t bought yourself a jacket to wear on your Indian wear. Be it short, long, full sleeves or even a waistcoat, belted or not, worn on any outfit - saree, ghaghara or even salwar – it will look fab!

Anamika Khanna, Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2011, March 2011

Notice the embroidery and embellishments used at at strategic places like collars, borders, belts and cuffs, and the exquisite silver cutwork on the luxurious long jackets. So royal!

Anamika’s collection encompasses every kind of jacket. Varying length, sleeves, cuts, just amazing! Some heavier pieces have a lot of zardozi work, but she also displays the simpler pieces with great elegance.

Need I say more? Probably not, but I will anyway.

Flora Dora!

Floral prints are a definite staple in every girls closet - they're definitely classy, difficult to go wrong with, and super trendy!

And of course, nothing is as glamourous as floral prints in indian wear, and no one does it like Sabyasachi. The contemporary take–large, statement-making graphic florals are drop-dead gorgeous!
